Emergency Response to IDPs in North Gondar
Center of Concern implemented a comprehensive emergency response initiative in North Gondar zone, providing essential food and non-food items to 700 internally displaced households, including 300 girl-focused families, through support from the Canadian Fund for Local Initiative and Malala Fund, while ensuring collaborative stakeholder engagement throughout the distribution process.
Keeping Girls on Education During and After COVID 19
Center of Concern is implementing the “Keeping Girls on Education During and After COVID-19” project in Sidama Regional State, targeting 16 schools across Wendogenet and Boricha Weredas, with support from the Malala Fund, to address the disproportionate impact of the pandemic on girls’ education through community awareness campaigns, back-to-school initiatives, and creating girl-friendly school environments, with a special focus on supporting girls with disabilities and combating harmful traditional practices.
